Our School Council recently met to discuss the idea of inviting back last year’s Leavers to chat informally to our current P.7 class about moving onto secondary school.
All 16 past pupils agreed to come along.
Then our P.7 pupils got to work deciding what questions, worries & concerns they wanted to discuss at the “Get together.”
Sincere thanks to all the parents who facilitated lifts to & from the schools.
A big “thank you” also to the schools who allowed the past pupils the morning off to attend.
Our P.7 class filled in questionnaires after the “Get together” & they voted overwhelmingly that we should repeat the event in future years as they felt it worthwhile & it helped lessen their worries about moving on.
