Last week Lissan Primary School took part in 'Maths Week' alongside 500,000 pupils from all over Ireland.
The P6/7 class were challenged to work together to complete a variety of investigative puzzles, games and practical activities. 🙂
Practicing math has been shown to improve investigative skills, resourcefulness and creativity. This is because math problems often require us to bend our thinking and approach problems in more than one way. The first process we try might not work. We need flexibility and creativity to think of new pathways to the solution. 😃
