Our P4/5 class recently enjoyed another truly special visit as part of the Roots of Empathy programme. Our amazing Tiny Teacher, baby Ruairí, and his wonderful mum, Niamh, joined us to help the children learn about understanding emotions, building connections, and caring for others.
This session focused on relationships. The children explored how relationships grow through trust, kindness, and gentle communication. Watching how baby Ruairí responds to his mum - and how Niamh supports and comforts him - gave the class real-life examples of what secure and loving relationships look like.
Pupils also reflected on their own relationships, discussing the importance of listening, showing empathy, and recognising how others feel. It’s inspiring to see how each visit helps them grow in confidence, compassion, and emotional understanding. 💚
