The 2026 theme, 🌳 The Story Tree 🌳, allows children to read at their own pace and explore books that match their interests. Every book read helps their Story Tree grow, making reading a fun and rewarding summer activity. 🌱📚✨
🌟 How it works
📍 Children can sign up at their local library.
📅 The programme runs from 29 June to 31 August 2026.
🔖 Children who read 5 books will receive a bookmark.
🏆 Children who read 10 books will receive a certificate to recognise their achievement, which can also be celebrated in school.
Reading regularly over the summer helps children maintain and develop their literacy skills 📖💡, and this free programme provides a great opportunity for families to enjoy reading together. 👨👩👧👦❤️
