Lissan Primary School, Cookstown

P4/5 Gaelic Blitz

27th Sep 2019

The P4/5 boys and girls of Lissan PS headed off on Friday morning with the sun on their faces, the wind at their backs and fire in their bellies. No stone was left unturned as Conor McCrory had meticulously planned out the days event with the help of HTC Sports Leaders and community volunteers without whom the day would have not been complete.
P4 and P5 teams took part in various matches against Knocknagin PS, St Mary’s Dunamore, St Columba’s Straw and Derrychrin.
Lissan P5 boys and girls lead a strong victory to reach the finals. With passion, determination and strength they played their hearts out but were sadly defeated in the end. Big congratulations go to the winning teams; St Columba’s Straw and Derrychrin.
A big hearty thank you to Conor McCrory for his organisation of the day and thank you to our neighbouring schools for taking part in the tournament.
A great day was had by all.
